Nicola Bulley police issue statement explaining reason for new river search
In response to "misinformed speculation," the police team looking into Nicola Bulley's death has issued a statement outlining why they have begun a new search of the river.
Apparently, police divers went back to the vicinity of the River Wyre where the mother was last seen by walkers.
On January 27 of this year, the 45-year-old was reported missing, setting off a high-profile search operation that lasted for three weeks and culminated with the discovery of her body.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson stated on Friday, "There has been misinformed speculation over the past few days relating to police activity in the River Wyre," to explain why police divers had returned to the water.
As was previously noted, HM Senior Coroner had requested that police divers inspect the riverbanks near where Nicola Bulley vanished.
